Spirit of Christmas is strong at the Canadian Food and Wine Institute

Holiday giving is on the menu at the Canadian Food and Wine Institute On Dec. 22, members of Junior Culinary Team Canada joined a group of culinary students, chef professors and staff to prepare a traditional holiday feast with all the trimmings. The food will be served  at the Spirit of Christmas Dinner to be held at Gord’s Place in St. Catharines on Christmas Day.

Six Nations Polytechnic (SNP), an Indigenous, community-controlled human resource development centre based in Ohsweken, recently presented Niagara College with a Covenant Chain wampum belt in recognition of the partnership between the two institutions.

For Steve Collins, the rewards of a job well done goes well beyond his 2014 Faculty Award of Excellence plaque and a dedicated parking spot that came with his Niagara Day accolades. This Pre-Health Sciences professor finds fulfillment in individual student successes that he has played a role in.

Students win two silver medals at Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition

Students from the College’s Business programs brought home two medals from the Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition. Held in Collingwood Nov. 20-21, the OCMC is a student-focused learning experience where participants demonstrate their essential, vocational and employability skills before industry professionals. OCMC serves as a stepping-stone from academia to industry by creating real world experiences and networking opportunities.
