Important community agencies in Niagara are able to enhance the training they provide to volunteers, thanks to the work of Niagara College Human Resources students.

NC grad wins first in Photography at Emerge Media Awards

A photo created for a Niagara College Digital Photography class was named as a first-place winner at the 2015 Emerge Media Awards.  Recent Digital Photography grad (2014) Katie Wyatt won the photography category with her entry “Karsh emulation of George Bernard Shaw." The winning photograph was completed during her time as a student at Niagara College as part of her second-year advanced portraits class.

Student-designed label revealed for inaugural sparkling wine

A team of Niagara College students has a special reason to cheer, as the designers of a label for Niagara College’s inaugural sparkling wine.

The winning student-designed label to be featured on bottles of the Niagara College Teaching Winery’s first-ever sparkling wine was announced by a panel of judges from the College’s Canadian Food and Wine Institute on March 24.

First annual NCVLA's shine the spotlight on student leaders

The Centre for Student Engagement and Leadership hosted the first annual Niagara College Volunteer and Leadership awards (NCVLA’s) on Friday, March 20. With almost 120 students and staff in attendance, the night celebrated student excellence and the accomplishments of student volunteers and leaders at an awards gala at Riverstone Event Centre in Welland.
